CBD Oil in the Body, Its Effects, and Its Activation Time

CBD oil users, new and seasoned ones, may wonder about the action of the oil in their bodies.

They may ask about the duration or how long the oil stays in their system. In addition, they may be curious about how long the effect of the plant-based cure works in the body.

A third common question is how long it takes for CBD oil to start working in the human body system. These are usual inquiries, and they are normal to be asked.

The presence of these questions demonstrates users’ caution when considering their health. Various factors actually need to be considered when answering these questions.

One of these factors is the amount of CBD oil consumed by the user. Another is the potency feature of the oil. To be able to determine how long the oil stays in the body, the frequency of using CBD oil is another consideration. If the user rarely takes the curative agent, traces of it will likely be invisible from his body in less than one week.

Finally, the consumption technique is also a matter of concern. Does the user ingest the CBD oil? Does he vape it? Or does he rub it on his skin?

Apart from these considerations, there are personal factors that influence the oil’s actions in the body.

A user’s gender, age, lifestyle, weight, metabolism, and even the amount of water he drinks can determine how long the oil remains in his system.

  • How Long Does the Cannabidiol Oil Stay in the Body?

Research conducted in 1991 at the College of Pharmacy in the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson explained how long the cannabidiol (CBD) lasts in the human body.

The plasma levels of CBD were ascertained every week in 14 patients who have Huntington’s disease.

For six weeks, these users took about 700 milligrams of oral CBD daily. After six weeks of administering the plant-based cure, the patients were tested after one week of not taking the antidote.

The findings in the research showed that the substance was “virtually undetectable thereafter.” This study demonstrates that in approximately two to five days, the cannabidiol can be eliminated in the body.

This result is true for both male and female research participants.

Hence, to answer the question “How long does CBD oil stay in the body?” the answer is that it takes about three to five days for moderate and light users.

One week is the absolute maximum period. Factors like the amount of the oil taken and the weight or body mass of the user also influence this duration.

All CBD oil products like the topical cream, edibles, oil tinctures, and vape would yield the same effect.

  • How Long Does Cannabidiol Oil’s Effect Last in the Body?

Users of CBD oil can experience its effects after waiting for several minutes. These impacts can last for three to four hours, the maximum being six hours.

It depends on several factors like the dosage, body mass, and consumption method. CBD oil is safe and can be taken several times a day and daily.

If the user no longer feels the oil’s effects, he can simply take another dose. This is especially recommended when there is a requirement to alleviate anxiety, periodic pain, and other discomforts that the oil can help prevent.

  • How Much Time Is Needed for the Oil to Work?

First-time users of CBD oil may wonder about the activation time of the healing agent. How long does it take for the oil to take effect?

The consumption or ingestion technique actually determines how long it takes for the oil to begin working.

When orally taking CBD oil like swallowing a CBD capsule or consuming CBD edibles, the results can be felt in a matter of 30 minutes to one hour.

When inhaling the CBD by smoking or vaping or when dropping it under the tongue, a user should hold on for about 10 to 15 minutes for them to experience the full impact of CBD oil.

In some cases, the oil may not take effect after a short period of time. Some users may wonder if CBD oil works for them or otherwise.

Factors like low dosages can affect the activation time of the oil. Taking low doses may not allow the oil to yield the intended results completely.

In scenarios in which the oil does not seem to work after waiting for a while, it is recommended to give it some time to acclimate to one’s body.

Users should observe the oil for a period of about one to two weeks for the substance to integrate into their body systems.

Sometimes, it may take longer than a couple of weeks. Hence, users have to be patient, waiting for obvious modifications in their bodies, health, and overall wellness.

Asking for medical opinions is also advisable in order to ensure that CBD oil would work.

  • Can Taking the Cannabidiol Oil Make Users Fail Drug Tests?

Taking CBD oil may concern those who would be undergoing a drug test. To make it clear, employers do not ask for applicants to get tested for CBD traces in their bloodstream.

What employers usually test workers for are traces of tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. This is the chemical compound responsible for altering the user’s state of mind, giving him what is known as the euphoric “high.”

Workplaces certainly expect their employees to be in their best health condition. Hence, if applicants for work exhibit being “high” due to cannabis, they would most likely lose their chances of getting employed.

CBD oil extracted from cannabis plants and not the hemp plants may contain small amounts of THC.

Therefore, users should choose the hemp-based oil to prevent problems when getting drug-tested.

In addition, taking small amounts of CBD oil, which is about 100 milligrams maximum, is the recommended dosage. In this way, the drug test would be satisfactory.

More research is underway by professionals with respect to the action of CBD oil in the human body.

More time and more studies are needed to come up with the most valid and accurate responses to these common queries. Patience is, indeed, necessary.

After all, people have not been using CBD oil for medicinal or therapeutic objectives because it has just entered the medical scene fairly recently.

There shouldn’t be any concern for failing a drug test after CBD as CBD is not THC, the actual compound that these drug tests are meant to detect. Here’s a link to a free ebook that explains CBD more clearly: bit.ly/cbdland-freeoffer

If I’m not mistaken, it takes about one week for CBD to leave your system. This means that if you take a drug test within a week of taking CBD oil, it will probably come back as negative.

I have another question – how long does CBD last?

    Cheers,
