Benghazi Cover up, Was The US Running Weapons Thru Libya?

We have all heard about the Benghazi attack that happened in 2012. There was a “witch hunt” to determine who was at fault for the deaths of the 4 Americans in the attack. The deaths included the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens. Justifiably so, the media questioned the lack of response and the inadequate security at the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya. However, little was said about why the U.S. was in Benghazi to begin with. The reasons for the US presence in Benghazi may directly relate to the attacks that night in 2012.

Multiple, investigative reports of the Benghazi bombing turn up a possible arms pipeline running through Libya courtesy of the United States. Click below for the full reports, but the gist is the United States was supposedly purchasing stockpiled weapons of former Libyan dictator, Muammar Gaddafi, and funneling the weapons through countries like Turkey to get the weapons into the hands of Syrian rebels. Those weapons then ended up in some pretty alarming rebel groups. As MintPress reports at the end of 2012 Turkey became alarmed the rebels were going to lose the Syrian war. Thus Turkey began to work with “al-Nusra — a Syrian branch of al-Qaida known to be the most aggressive and effective rebel group fighting in the civil war — to help with the group’s chemical weapon development.” The U.S. of course claims that Ambassador Stevens was present in Libya for diplomatic reasons and to promote a new cultural center.
