Former CIA Employee Explains How the CIA Manufactures History

A crucial role of the CIA is to keep the public misinformed.

Victor Marchetti worked for the CIA for 14 years but eventually became bothered enough by the CIA’s practices to quit and write a tell-all book about his experiences. His book was the first ever book the CIA tried to censor before it came to publication. His writings are about how the CIA is able to revise history and control the narrative of history to fit their agenda.

Read a paper by him as originally published in the The Journal of Historical Review, Fall 1989 (Vol. 9, No. 3), pages 305- 320. Propaganda and Disinformation: How the CIA Manufactures History
