Propaganda Protest Outside Breitbart Headquarters in Los Angeles

A Propaganda Protest at the recently discovered Headquarters of Breitbart in Los Angeles drew bullhorns, car horns, protest signs and cheers from protestors on both sides of the political spectrum. The protest organizers stated the main goal was to bring awareness to the presence of Breitbart’s offices located right in LA’s backyard and to bring awareness to the issue of freedom of the press. The event page for the Propaganda Protest states, “This protest is to make our voices heard, not to silence Breitbart’s. We believe in free speech, free press, and nonviolence, even when we disagree. We are inclusive: all genders, races, ethnicities, religions, and political persuasions are welcome.” Two squad cars were present but no incidents took place.

Citizen Truth interviewed three pro-Trump/pro-Breitbart protestors and found the main concerns were immigration, jobs, media bias, and being anti-establishment. The first protestor was wearing a red MAGA hat but was neither for or against Trump. He stated he didn’t care about either protest side and only cared about jobs but he was there in support of a friend. The second and third protestor both felt mainstream media was biased and thus they turned to Breitbart for the unbiased news. Immigration and the presence of illegal immigrants was another issue both felt strongly about. One believed ICE would only deport immigrants that had felony convictions and didn’t believe immigrants with minor infractions were being deported by ICE. Both protestors also felt all politicians were corrupt and expressed concern about government corruption and money in politics. However, one felt hopeful that Trump was anti-establishment enough that corruption wouldn’t be an issue. The other believed corruption would be worse if Hillary Clinton had won the election.

The majority of the crowd was there for the Propaganda Protest and was protesting Trump’s attack on free speech and freedom of the press. Additionally, supporters of the Propaganda Protest expressed concern over the divisive state of the country. The total crowd size estimate is around 100. The protest took place at 11999 San Vicente Blvd, Los Angeles.
