Anti-Trump Fake Republican Ana Navarro Has Lost Her Mind

The election of President Donald Trump has been a boon for the career of Ana Navarro. By calling herself a Republican strategist her unhinged rants against the president are given extra weight and have resulted in her being booked as frequent guest on various CNN programs and ABC’s “The View.”

Navarro started off with smart commentary during the election and even in its immediate aftermath. But as her popularity grew so did her yelling, screaming, ranting and raving about every move the president made. It was something she did again this week as the president joined forces with the United Kingdom and France to strike Syria.

Many on both the right and left are against the idea of taking action in Syria and there are numerous good reasons why striking Syria could be considered a bad idea. But of all the reasons Navarro could have cited she chose the one that was most likely to get her play on social media.

“It is true Assad is committing genocide. The international community cannot, must not allow him to kill Syrians ppl w/impunity,” Navarro tweeted. But she qualified that by saying it was also “true Trump may have ordered strikes against Syria to distract attention from Comey book & Cohen investigation.”

Navarro is not alone in this thinking, but the majority of the people who believe this conspiracy have no idea how any of this works. They don’t know what it takes to form a coalition with other nations, consult with military leaders, examine intelligence and get a consensus to order the strike. But Navarro does know how it works which shows that she has either lost her mind or she is making ridiculous statements to gain more attention.

Navarro, if she has not lost her mind, believes that Gen. Mattis, the United States intelligence agencies and the military and intelligence agencies of Britain and France got together and decided that they were going to strike Syrian chemical weapons facilities and risk war with Russia because they all wanted to give President Trump cover from the Stormy Daniels scandal.

It is believable that some kook making a conspiracy theory YouTube video could believe that, but a highly paid political analyst? It defies reason to believe that she really believes that, and if she does then there needs to be genuine concern for her mental faculties.

Though he did not mention Navarro by name, Huffington Post reporter Yashar Ali examined what causes otherwise serious pundits to make outrageous statements about President Trump, it a tweet thread he wrote on Saturday.

“There’s this thing that keeps happening. Anti-Trump cable news personalities start out sober/calm and offer smart analysis. Then as their celebrity grows and they get more attention..they get addicted to the attention and start saying bombastic stuff..delve into conspiracies,” he wrote.

“Basically all the stuff they criticize Trump for….they turn into. It keeps happening. This is a made up example cause I’m not going to name names…a former gov official has their first hit..then they keep getting booked because they’re good…then they join Twitter.

“Next thing you know they’re quote tweeting Trump and talking about the “pee tape” and then tweeting out articles from random blogs and saying things like “Wow if True”…

“And FYI for all of you speculating I’m not talking about anchors/hosts that have their own shows. I’m talking about pundits/analysts under contract…and no I’m not going to tag anyone,” he said.

Anyone who has watched Navarro over the past year didn’t need him to tag anyone.
