Street cam video of the assassination of ex-Russian MP Denis Voronenkov in Kieve, Ukraine on Thursday March 23rd.

An assassin can be seen approaching Denis Voronenkov from behind and shooting him in broad daylight. The assassin gets the first shot off and Voronenkov’s bodyguard attempts to fight back but the assassin gets in three more shots after the scuffle with the bodyguard. Voronenkov and the assassin both died. Voronenkov, a former Parliamentary member of Russia, was an outspoken critic of Putin who had fled to Ukraine in late 2016. He was scheduled to testify against former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the day of his murder. Voronenkov was also believed to be aware of numerous smuggling and money laundering operations by Russian elite society. Ukraine claimed the assassin was a Russian agent trained by Russian security forces. The assassin served in the Ukrainian National Guard from 2015-2016
