Why?

Why, if President Trump enjoyed GOP control of both the House and Senate during the first two years of his presidency and is, as he describes himself, “Someone with great energy, with great passion, and with great deal-making skills,” why hasn’t he gotten more of his key 2016 campaign promises across the finish line?

Why, for example, can’t President Trump, who dominates the Twitter-verse, build public support for promoting a Constitutional amendment for Congressional term limits?

Why, if President Trump can exert total control over the GOP congressional caucus, why can’t he get Republicans to draw up a replacement plan for Obamacare?

Why, if President Trump can turn long-held Republican principles like imposing tariffs and balancing the budget on their heads, why can’t he turn another one on its head and get rid of corporate tax loopholes?

Why can’t President Trump, who controls the all-powerful presidential bully pulpit and is a “stable genius” get Congress to approve six weeks of paid maternity leave?

Why can’t President Trump, who said Senator Orrin Hatch called him “the greatest president in the history of our country” do something worthy of such a claim and end crime and gun violence in America?

Why can’t President Trump, who told Bill O’Reilly it would be “so simple, so simple” actually get Mexico  – and not the U.S. taxpayer – to pay for the Wall?

Why, if Donald Trump can write the international best-seller, Art of The Deal, why can’t he renegotiate trade deals with China, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Japan?

Why, President Trump, if you are, as you say, “The most transparent president probably in the history of this country” why won’t you release your tax returns as you promised repeatedly from 2014 to 2016 and as presidents Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush and Obama willingly did before you?

Why, if you can convince GOP senators Mitch McConnell, Rand Paul, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz and others to ignore your promises to balance the budget, deport 11 million illegals, and dramatically reform Veteran’s Affairs, why can’t you convince them to back your campaign promise to invest $1 trillion to rebuild U.S. infrastructure? Or your promise to defund Planned Parenthood?

And why, if America, as you claim, has wasted “trillions of dollars spent and thousands of lives lost” in the Middle East, why are you sending troops, ships and planes to the Middle East instead of, as you promised, withdrawing American forces?

And why, if you say you can negotiate with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Iranian dictator Hassan Rouhani, why did you say last month you can’t negotiate with Speaker Nancy Pelosi on issues such as Congressional approval of the new NAFTA treaty?  Or infrastructure?

Finally, why, if, as you promised your supporters, “We’re going to win so much, you’re going to be so sick and tired of winning” are most of your 2016 campaign promises, including those mentioned above, now either dropped, ignored or completely forgotten?

Why? Because he’s egomaniacal, narcissistic, mercurial con-man by nature and by trade. He himself doesn’t know what b.s. he’s going to tweet until he tweets it. Definition of a loose cannon. And proof (along with both houses of congress and the supreme court) of the subversion and corruption of the U.S. political system. To hell with all tweets, and to hell with the two special-interest conglomerates that call themselves Republicans and Democrats.
