Short Version: General Wesley Clark US To Take Out 7 Countries in 5 Years
During an interview on Democracy Now General Wesley Clark, a former high ranking military official under Bush, reveals the Bush presidency’s response to 9/11 was to take out 7 middle eastern countries in 5 years. In the interview Clark retells a conversation he had with another Pentagon official that took place just after 9/11. Clark recalls talking with the Pentagon official about how the government’s decided to go to war with Iraq despite the government not finding any information to connect Saddam Hussein to Al Qaeda. In a follow-up conversation with the same official, they discuss how there is now a government plan to “take out 7 countries in 5 years”. The countries include Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Iran.
