School Police Officer Forces 14 Year Old Into Oral Sex, Receives No Jail Time & Nothing On His Record
Jacob Ryan Delgadillo, a 30 year old Houston Independent Schools police officer, plead guilty to having an improper relationship with a 14 year old girl at the middle school where he worked. The improper relationship involved Delgadillo having the girl perform oral sex on him in the school bathroom and Delgadillo fondling her. His original charges included two counts of indecency which, if convicted, meant he could face up to 20 years in jail. However, Delgadillo took a plea deal and the indecency charges were dropped. Instead he was sentenced to ‘five years on deferred adjudication, a form of probation that means he will not have a conviction on his record if he successfully completes the probation. He also will not have to register as a sex offender.’
So a 30 year old man who manipulated a 14 year old girl into oral sex will not only receive zero jail time but he will also walk away with a clean record and won’t be listed on the sex offender’s registry. Thus, this man is free to get another job working with kids despite the fact that he is GUILTY of having oral sex with a child. While his victim, a 14 year old girl, is likely to have mental health or emotional issues that could last a lifetime if she does not receive proper therapy. The prosecutor in this case claimed the girl’s family was satisfied with the outcome. A 30 year old man, guilty of sexually abusing a child, walks away with a clean record and this is what the American justice system considers a good outcome. Instead of a war on drugs, how about US Attorney General Jeff Sessions starts a war on the over lenient sentencing of sexual predators?
