Interview: Life in Gaza with Ahmed Alnaouq
Ahmed grew up in Gaza, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from al-Azher University and was the inspiration for/original project manager for We Are Not Numbers. He later won the UK’s prestigious Chevening scholarship and earned a master’s degree in international journalism from Leeds University. Today, in addition to staying active with We Are Not Numbers. he is co-founder of Border Gone, a site that translates We Are Not Numbers narratives into Hebrew to infuence Israelis, and serves as lobbying coordinator for the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor.
