Trump Tower Evacuated As Heavily Armed Police Storm The Scene
A heavily armed battalion of police have swarmed Trump Tower and caused an evacuation of the building.
Guests and staff were evacuated from the Vancouver, Canada hotel on Friday night after witnesses reported seeing 16 police cars, with heavily armed police, arrive at the establishment, The Mirror reported.
More than 1,000 people were evacuated, the report said. A witness who spoke to The Mirror said there was an Irish pool party being held at the hotel and police were called to shut it down after a fight broke out.
“We were promised that the pool would be open all night and at 10.30pm we were all kicked out of the pool as some ‘VIP Guests’ arrived,” the witness said.
“Many people were searching for their stuff and others not wanting to get out of the pool. It felt like we left causally but others may have experienced panic at the sight of guns,” she said. “A few brawls broke out.”
A video shared on Twitter showed patrons outside of the hotel as police cars came speeding by. A woman on the video is heard saying that “There’s some girls with their faces in their hands, it looks like they’re crying,” she said. “I don’t really know what’s going on over here.”

The woman wrote on Twitter, with the video, “16 cop cars at trump tower in Vancouver and more coming! People on the scene say cops came in with “long guns” (bless Canadians who can’t identify guns) and rushed everyone out!”
The woman spoke to The Mirror and said “I was walking home from the gym on Bute Street. Down the alley I heard yelling and say hundreds of people in party clothes panicking some crying some on their phones at first I assumed it was a fight but then quickly recognized that it was an evacuation.
“Curiosity got this best of me so I walked on the far side of the street across from the entrance to Trump Tower and counted 16 police cars both marked and in marked,” she said. “More people were spilling out the main doors to the building.”
She said that “Small groups of people running from the scene, mostly scared groups of girls.
“As I got to the end of the block I sparked a conversation with 4 girls who were hugging each other, visibly upset.
“They told me, armed officers with ‘long guns’ rushed in to the party and told everyone to leave. They told everyone to get out of the pool, but some people disregarded the police and kept jumping in, until the police used ‘forceful language,’” she told The Mirror.
“The group of girls I spoke with were escorted out via a private or emergency exit that lead to the side of the building,” she said. “My father was a police officer for many years and if there’s one thing I know, you don’t linger and obstruct a police scene.”
