Justice Ginsburg Hospitalized Again

“Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, last night after experiencing chills and fever earlier in the day.”

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been admitted to the hospital again, this time with chills and a fever.

Justice Ginsburg was hospitalized on Friday night at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore after experiencing the chills and fever during the day Friday.

The 86-year-old Supreme Court Justice was evaluated at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC before she was transferred.

“Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, last night after experiencing chills and fever earlier in the day. She was initially evaluated at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. before being transferred to Johns Hopkins Hospital for further evaluation and treatment of any possible infection,” the Court said in a press release.

“With intravenous antibiotics and fluids, her symptoms have abated and she expects to be released from the hospital as early as Sunday morning. Further updates will be made when available,” it said.

Ginsburg Hospitalized Before

This is not the Justice’s first time being hospitalized in recent times. It was just days ago that Justice Ginsburg missed court due to her having a stomach bug.

Prior to that the liberal Justice, who was appointed by former President Bill Clinton, received a cancer diagnosis but returned to the court.

“In July 2018, Wayne (Wisbaum) wrote to me that his health disabled him from playing a lead role in the arrangements for my visit here but he still hoped to attend all the events. He asked me to confirm that I would come to Buffalo in August 2019 in any event. I did so immediately and I did not withdraw when my own health problems presented challenges,” Justice Ginsburg said during an appearance in August.

“I am now 86 years old, yet people of all ages want to take their picture with me. Amazing,” she said.

The hospitalized Justice Ginsburg is expected to be released from the hospital as soon as Sunday.
