New England Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Caught Soliciting Sex with Prostitutes
Robert Kraft arrested in prostitution sting.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has been caught soliciting sex with prostitutes in Florida. Kraft was caught in a sting operation launched by several law enforcement agencies. Video evidence implicated Kraft and as a result, he faces two count charges of soliciting prostitution.
The operation was launched to bust up a sex trafficking and prostitution ring across multiple counties in Florida. The illegal operation had been going on secretly in massage parlors when Kraft got caught up in the sting operation. He was charged with soliciting sex from prostitutes at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter.
A few women who took part in the sting operation owned up to acting as conspirators to make the operation succeed.
The police found that several of the prostitutes were forced into the sex trade after obtaining work permits following their immigration from China. The operation not only nabbed prostitution and sex trafficking rings, but also served to execute multiple search warrants for cash and property worth millions of dollars seized by law enforcement officers.
Kraft, Solicited But Not Involved in the Sex Trade
Prosecutors say Kraft was not involved with sex trade, but only evidenced soliciting from prostitutes.
NFL columnist Mike Freeman tweeted: “The punishment Kraft might face from the NFL is a six-game suspension and $500,000 fine. The accusations could be ruled a violation of the personal conduct policy.”
A spokesperson for Kraft would not go into details but categorically denied that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity.
Seventy-seven-year-old Kraft is an elite member of the NFL’s chairmen’s committee. He was appointed to the committee in August 2016. The position makes him a top NFL owner, together with others such as Clark Hunt of the Chiefs, John Mara of the Giants, and Art Rooney II in Pittsburgh.
The NFL acknowledges the case against Kraft, and vowed to remain on top of the situation. Kraft lost his wife in 2001. He is reported to maintain a romantic relationship with Ricki Noel Lander. He, however, denied paternity of Lander’s baby in early 2018.
The philanthropist emerged the main owner of the New England Patriots in 1994 and managed the club to prominence in NFL history. Under his management, the Patriots won six Super Bowl titles; and his success with the team helped to establish them in New England.
